Secret Garden

Critique:
Yet another style (I like this more than the candy one, but less than your more-realistic style)! You always manage to surprise me. At first, I thought this really was watercolor; you did an amazing job replicating the effect. That being said, I would love to see an actual watercolor piece from you; you are such an amazing artist it would be great to see what you can do in a traditional medium. As for the content of the picture, it reminds me of the novel The Secret Garden. Was this perhaps inspired by that? I love how everything is coming out of the book; gives it a whimsical feel. Bird, butterflies, and flowers look great, but I don't like the cats; the cartoony face looks a bit out of place. The squirrel is a nice touch (just caught sight of him!).I love the way the background is fragmented, but perhaps a more off-white would have suited the scene better. Nice touch with the shadow under the children.
Overall a great piece.
